Troubleshooting the 1k

Hello All this is a great forum for mpc users. I am need of some help i just got a 1k red/blue 128 mb for the cheap 2 bills cheap n with a deal like that you know something has to be wrong. There is no sound from any outputs front or back ive dug around the forums and tried the suggestions from other posts with that problem but nada. All menus come up, i am able to sequence and trigger rack gear but not internal sounds. Also the analog inputs wont show a signal in record mode it will on the digital in and can record but there is no way to hear it but it goes thru the steps as if its there. The pads of course need replacement but besides that it seems everything works. Asking around i ve been told it may be the mainboard is bad i was wondering if there is a test that can be done to nail it down to that being the prob, thanks.

Not sure if this is what your looking for, but you can try a BootBlock. Turn the Mp on while holding the play button and it tests some stuff...

Digital out and in works can sample and playback thru spdif but still nothing from analog I/O strange but not a bad trade anyone in the same boat?

check the connections from the analog board to the main board. maybe the ribbon cable became loose.

Try MODE + pad 9 then F1 check if internal sound is ON
