Firstly I know someone is gunna say this should be posted on the sticky, but I don't think this subject is touched upon in the "fix your dead pads" thread.
Okay so I baught another used MPC, this time works great, pads are awesome but a few of the tact buttons seemed to be dying out. So i opened my MPC and to my surprise I saw all the pads connected to each other, and not seperate as in my crappy blue one. I further investigated and found that my mpc looked to have the pad upgrade found on mpcstuff.com:
Now, the guy I bought it from did not seem to be the technical kinda guy - so I doubt he DIY'd the upgrade - he didn't mention anything about an upgrade, however he pointed out how well all the pads worked, and that he purchased it new 1 or 2 years ago (it came with a box and everything). So now I'm wondering, do all the new black MPC1000's come stock with the new and improved pad system showed on mpcstuff? or are these new style pads doomed to wear down just like the pads on my blue (and if so, how do I maintain the integrity of my sensors, I baught some contact cleaner for the tact buttons which worked wonderfully, can I use that on the pads too?)

Beat like I catch it cause it's downright wretched
Put it through the S-950 then stretch it
