Pad Sound Pitch?

It seems that some of my pads sound lower than the other ones, is this simply because i don't have a mixer?

Anyone?

LOL it has nothing to do with a mixer... haha I was a newb once too. A mixer and the MPC are two completely different things. A mixer is just a device that combines audio from multiple devices and outputs it on a stereo field (L/R) like for your speakers.

If one pad is louder than another pad, it has nothing to do with what sound is being outputed from the MPC, it has to do with the individual pad sensitivity (or a defect).

Hit Mode, hit Pad 10 (Other), Hit F4 (PAD)... now hit any pad you want. It will select that pad and you will see what sensitivity it has. For some pads you might want the sensitivity to be higher so you don't have to hit it so hard to get a loud sound. The higher the number is, the higher the sensitivity. I try to keep all my pads at the same sensitivity. Go through all the pads and make sure they are all the same.

The mixer takes the stereo output of your MPC and relays it to speakers (or monitors as we call them). There is no relationship between one pad of the MPC to the mixer...

Is it volume or pitch that's the problem? If its the pitch perhaps you have one of your q-links set to tune on that pad. Otherwise I'm outta ideas

even with the FULL LEVEL button on?

I haven't tried full levels but when I hit some pads the output is lower than others unless I hit it near the top of the pad or harder
