Sampling Issue Analog Inputs

Something mad is going on. I got a lead that goes from a headphone jack into 2 1/4 jacks. I stuck them in the MPC and monitored the input (as the samples are coming from the mac). Before anyone asks, I'm sampling from radio on the mac.

It sounds like the beats are missing. No drum sounds on anything.

Any ideas whats going on?

Oh my, thats messed up. I remembered I had to pull the inputs out half way on the 2500, so tried it with the 1000 and it worked. I'm guessing its because I got stereo leads.

If you use stereo leads in the inputs will think they are balanced mono leads. Don't do that
