samples assigned to pads not playing. please help.

Hi all. Im new here. I know the mpc and have used it before. Now I face a problem. I can here samples in trim mode when I press pads. When I create a program and assign a sample it doesnt play. What the heck is going on?

I have searched the forum (not sure what search term to use) and yes I've read the manual. This is really breaking my balls and has to be so simple.

Please help.

do yo have THAT program they are assigned too, selected on your track in the sequence....?

yea make sure you set the program in the main screen so you can access the samples for that specific program

yeah I have checked that is correct. assigned samples. saved as program01. program 01 on sequence. pads do nothing

surely when I assign the samples to the pads I should be able to hear them.

checked the mixer and output assignments.

of course . local control. must of turned it of last time i set up external sequencer.
