a question about the step edit window

ok in the step edit window there is P:(pad) T:(tuning) V:(velocity) and there is D: what the fuk does D: stand for? wondering so that i can learn how editing that would change the sound.

Duration. Its how long the note is held down for. Wont make a difference if its a one-shot type sample, like a drum sound though.
