is a used mpc1k with 2 dead pads worth purchasing?

whats going on guys, this is my first post. i have and opertunity to purchase a mpc1000 tomorrow but the only problem is it has two dead pads. so im wondering if this is a bad investment or not? i have the chance to buy it for 300 bucks which doesnt seem like a unreasonable price too me at all if the 2 dead pads is a easy fix.

how hard is it too fix dead pads? ive seen a youtube or two on it. i notice there are two diffrent pad types. i know theres the black mpc1ks and the blue mpc1ks this one would be the blue one with red trimming. do the blue ones run on the new pad senor system or are they the older ones?

its this mpc1k worth 300 bucks? i needa know by tomorrow afternoon. so i hope to get some informative responses.

I don't know about the dead pads, but generally the blue mpc 1000 are not as highly regarded as the black ones.

don't bother fixing the individual pads... you're gonna have to get the new pad kit for $180.00. so if you're cool with spending $180 on top of those $300, then get it...

... I paid $420 on ebay for my 'like new' mpc ( which it was ) and the pads went dead anyways.. I think $300 is reasonable to me. just realize that if you fix the dead pad individually then you will need to replace them one by one and eventually they will probably all go out.. Just go for the upgrade like i did.. The feeling is like night and day..

thanx for the replies! i think ima pass on the purchase and do a little more research. i also been lookin at a mv8000. i see em on cl for 600 bucks like crazy. some people compare it too the mpc 4000.
