Leveling Sounds Out

Hey guys im trying to sample something and my drum kits destroy the sample. I would like to raise the sample to a bit higher tone, any suggestions? Thanks

first of all, you didnt even mention what you are using, so nobody is going to be able to give you any specific tips. i cant answer how unless you fill me in on that important piece of info

second, if you dont want to turn down the drums, then turn the sample up. i mean, what other options do you have? its called mixing. you adjust the levels so that all elements of a song sit well together.

another option i guess would be to sample louder, which basically is saying turn the sample up.

if it were me, i would just turn down the drums. you can boost the overall mix later.
