Can I split a track in the 1000?

Hey all,

Not sure if this is the right way to ask this question, but if I have a kick, snare, hats an perc on one track, is there a way I can get the mp to split these to seperate tracks?

I hope that makes sense..

I got the mpc1k JJOS1 4.99J synched to logic 8

copy the track to a new one, probaly 3 new ones(kick, snare, hat) then erase the pads you want for each track. shouldve probably recorded each track individually.

You could also go to "Sequence Edit" (Mode + Pad13) and use the "Copy" feature. In this window, it will allow you to select a range of bars and also the notes you want copied. That way you can select all your snares, kicks, and hats individually and the MPC will create a new track with the notes you specified.
