my rotary encoder is loose and glitchy. it jumps data fields with the
slightest touch.
i've had this mpc for about 3 years with heavy use. the jog wheel
encoder is wearing out. i imagine others have run into the same problem
and will know what i'm talking about.

There are no replacement rotary encoders or rights side pcb boards online.

Is it possible to fix or stabilize a glitchy encoder? Has anyone done any
creative surgery?

I'm looking for ideas, anything besides buying a new mpc 1000 that will just
wear out in anther 3 years.

have fun making beats yo, this machine rocks, but if i could go back in time
i would have mounted something to the pcb board to stabilize the jog wheel
before my rotary encoder wore out.

MPC stuff has right side PCB bards for 80 bucks. Comes with the rotaries installed.
