Q-linlk and other buttons have no L.E.D. lights

I just bought a used MPC 1000(Blue) and the Q Link,Full Level,16 levels,Mode and Record L.E.D's don't work. All of the buttons work there are just no lights. It has the JJ OS 3.08 and someone suggested trying to reload the Akai OS back in as it might be a software glitch. Or do all of these L.E.D's need to be replaced. The MPC seems to work fine other than that.

led's are hard wired, has nothin to do with the software. I thinks you need to replace em, just need a steady hand and some solder.

Actually those LEDs are controlled by the software. Seems a bit improbable that they would all quit at once unless the previous owner really didn't like LEDs and disconnected them, especially since the switches work otherwise.

Try a system reset (hold the ERASE key while you switch the power on). You are supposed to do this every time an OS is installed and it's more than possible that whoever put JJ on there didn't know or didn't bother. If this isn't done you can end up with all sorts of weird issues.
