I tried to search for this but didnt find anything. Can someone tell me how to disable the default songs/seq/programs/sounds that load up with the mpc1k each time you turn it on?

thanks

You have to turn off the AUTOLOAD for the internal memory:
Press the [MODE] key and then the [PAD 3] (LOAD).
In the LOAD from field, press the [WINDOW] key.
Select OFF in the Autoload field, and press the [F4] (CLOSE).

That's it...the next time you turn it on, it wont load them.

You also have to delete (or rename) the AUTOLOAD folder on your CF card. Or simply just remove the CF card while the MPC is turning on, and then you can put it back in.

hope that it helps

When you say 'Select OFF in the Autoload field' - does that mean select 'Internal'..? I can't seem to get it to show me autoload is off.

If you don't mean select 'internal', what do you physically do to turn autoload off? (What do I press?)

Sorry if that sounds like a dumb Q? but its bugging me.

dude...look above your post...I gave a step-by-step procedure on how to turn off the autoload for the internal memory as well as for the cf cards. I can't be more clearer than that.

Believe in yourself...follow those steps...you can do it :)
