Two questions???

Ok, #1: What exactly are the advantages of the assignable mix outputs on the MPC? 1-4? Like, what is it used for?

and #2: Does the Mixer on the MPC effect all the sequences or sequence by sequnce? For example: I made a beat that has 2 sequences. Sequence01 and Sequence02. Now I want to mix it so it sounds good. When I mix does it effect both sequence 01 and 02 or one at a time? Im new to the MPC and this isnt in the Manual. Thanks,

A1: separate outputs are for whatever you want. I have a Korg DL8000R MIDI-sync'd delay on 3/4. (Dub!)

A2: Mix settings are part of the Programs, so if you use the same Program in both sequences, you get the same result.
With a few of my drum sets, I have saved a "normal" Program, plus a separate "FX" program with different mixer settings, e.g. sending the Snares out 3/4 to the Delay.
Remember, a second Program, using the same samples with different settings, takes up almost no extra memory (est. 10kB).

right, new programmes don't take up much memory, but the MPC will only hold 24 programmes at once in RAM. So don't overdo it...

You assign different sounds to different outputs so you can eq them on your mixer and add external effects if you like, also to record them to your multitrack on different channels, this is what the assignable outs are for.

So how would I utilies that function if I have an Behringer MX1804X mixer with 4 stereo channels? Or my M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 soundcard? Do I need anything?

You could use them for the sounds you want total control over at mixdown, e.g. emphasise the snare by changing the eq, pan and levels live, without affecting the main mix. Got any guitar fuzz boxes lying around?

DSP if you have a mixer then there is no question you should utilize the multiple outputs of the MPC. Just patch each sound seperately to your mixer. It will improve the overall sound quality of your song to be using your external mixer rather than mixing inside the MPC. It does make a big difference so dont kid yourself and start patching....

MX1804X? That's an 18-channel mixer, you have plenty of inputs!
It also has onboard FX, another reason for you to use the separate outs.

Since the MPC groups these extra outs as stereo pairs with pan, you could use the same principle on the mixer to keep it simple - that is, use the stereo channels (7/8 ... 13/14) . Or you can use the Mono channels (1-6) if your samples are mono and you hard-pan them at the mixer page.

I say don't stress about it too much... it's flexibility you can use in the future if you need to, just know what the facility is for and what the advantages are - like in my case, I can use external EQ and FX.

I own a Behringer MX1804X - Cheap and Nasty. It's made really weakly, and pretty noisey, However I know of no other mixers this size for it's price. The onboard efx are lame - 30 different reverbs and Delays that I never use.

I hear ya Concertmate....most onboard effects other than dynamics are mostly trash....I have used the Tascam DM-24, Yamaha 01v, and the Allen Heath 16:2 all with onboard effects that suck.....I can only imagine what the Behringer effects sound like...

My mate owns a yamaha O1V, and it's a great digital mixer - but yeah the efx are pretty standard. Still better than the MX1804X though

I have a great delay box (Korg DL8000R) but my next purchase may be a good reverb box, prob. a t.c. electronics M-One or M300. (They're better value here in Euroland compared to Lexicon.) That would go on outs 1/2, or in line with the DL8000R. Add a patchbay to that shopping list, I guess...
