SD to CF adapter - anyone try one yet?

Looks like this might be a nice idea. MPC should read it I imagine, no reason it shouldn't.

Maybe then at some point "eye-fi" SD cards will support audio transfers instead of just pics and video. That would be pretty slick.

well if you can find a place that carries them then I suggest trying it out. I wouldn't be surprised if it works.

It might be very useful, because man... CF cards are getting rarer and rarer these days. Some people managed to get their hands on 16 gig CF cards and I have never even seen one in person. The highest I have seen in a store for sale was 1gb and it was 35 bucks... they also had 4 gig sd cards for like 15 bucks.

don't forget that "micro drives" will also work in the flashcard drive without any modification at all... they just slide right in. and the micro-drives are usually easy to find in sizes like 8gb on ebay... just a tip.

Any luck? I have a 1 GB CF but I also have two 4GB MicroSD's sitting around so I'll put them to use if SD to CF Adapter works .CF prices are up there too much for my liking right now so this adapater is exactly what I need, if it works

I saw a post recently I think it was scsi for samplers who posted it...

basically it said that even though you can get SD working on the mpc it is not a great idea because they screw up after a while.. maybe it was about corruption and fragmentation type issues... I forget but it advised to use CF if possible.

Thanks for the tip kind sir. I csold my SD's and went with a 16GB CF instead

I bought one when I first bought my 1000. It worked once then it shorted out on the next power on. It also shorted out the SD card permanently.

I would advise against using one and just buy a CF USB adaptor and archive that way if you are trying to be cheap.
