Reverse Patterns

i got the Yamaha AN200, a curious groovebox wich can reverse (back and forward) patterns in real time; this is useful, for example,if you want to "choose" the right point to apply Roll where you like in the internal part of the pattern.
i didnt upgrade still my MPC 1000 with any JJOS.

i was wondering if this is possible (to reverse patterns i mean) with some JJOS and if you please could tell me more, or if you have some tips to have the same result...

There is no reverse option, but there is a way to do it if you have your patterns already set up. In other words, you can't do it on the fly with a pattern you are in the process of making. In JJ os ver 2 and now also in 2 xl you can save up 99 patterns and 16 of them can be inserted immediately using the shift buttons and the pads. What you can do is once you have a pattern you could design the next pattern to be a mirror image, so it would play the sme pads in reverse. Then you could save these 2 patterns and toggle between them. Though you can't do this on the fly in a live situation with a pattern that you are building in real time, it can be done very quickly. I imagine this is not quite what your looking for, but there's almost always workarounds. Good luck.
