phono preamp to mpc

I need to get a chord to go from my pre amp(turntable) to my mpc.
my pre amp has both rca and stereo output(1/4)
which one is better to run out? what's the difference?
does it matter if I get a monster cable or a regular kind?
will it affect the sound quality

expensive cables are a con, you won't notice any difference

check the pre-amp's manual, but I would assume it doesn't matter whether you use the rca or 1/4" jack, they'll both send the same signal, just different socket types

seriously man, standard Hosa wires will work just fine. Million dollar wires are useless unless you are controlling satellites and international space stations.

a friend o'mine (audio technician and bass player for many years in a lot of bands) tells me that the signal going thru jack cables is better than thru rca, but i don't remember why... sorry

i'd get one of these and call it a day...
