mpc 1000 weird pad/need help

my pad number 1 is going out i think its not as loud as the others (The senitivity is up) it has different volumes when its hit,and sometimes you really have to put force on it for it to sound. Is it going out ? i have the mpc 1000 BK i heard those are the newer ones and had no pad problems? if that pad is going out can i just replace that one pad,are do i have to replace all? and also is it just pads are do i need the whole upgrade? i just though the black one s where already upgraded? any help will be great

the early BK models dont have the pad upgrade.. how old is your mp? if you move pad 4 and pad 8 moves a little then its the new pads or just open it up..
