A couple days ago my MPC started do strange stuff,
first thing I noticed was that I can't change program in pgm line. The wheel seems to be OK, It's just moving slowly in the LOAD section for example.. when I'm changing for example number of bars, the numbers are turning very slow, even of I'm spining wheel fast.
The TAP TEMPO button is making (repeating) a sound when I press it, sometimes I don't have to even touch it.
The 16 Levels button is not working at all.
I tried different kits and it's not the kit. I changed the OS from JJ OS 1 which I am using, to original akai OS and it's the same, so it's not the OS neither, I restart it also..
I don't know what's happening, so if somebody does, please help me.
Thank you

dunno if it'll help if there's a hardware problem, but http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/manual_e.htm says

When the reaction of a DATA Wheel is slow, please change the set of the "Data Wheel Type" field of OTHER.
MPC in which Ver2.12 or less AKAI OS was installed should select 1.
MPC in which AKAI OS Ver2.13 was installed should select 2.

Thank you man, it really fixed the problem with the wheel. The rest still didn't change.
