My samples are playing 2 times per 1 hit. Whenever i hit a pad, upon its release the sample plays again. 1 play for the hit, 1 play for the release. How can i change this? I've changed all of the params to mono and pad settings to one shot. It still does it. I've been searching through the manual and forums and can't find out how to turn off this setting. Does anyone know how?

Check that none of your samples are set to trigger on 'Note Off', I don't have a MPC1000 so I couldn't tell you exactly where/ how to do this.

Are your pads too sensitive perhaps? Check the sensitivity settings to make sure and make any adjustments.

Are your pads faulty or dying? Stange behaviour may be an early symptom of this...

There is no way to trigger a sample from note off. I have looked for this in the past. There are samplers that do this, but the Mp1k is not one of them. Sounds to me like a sensitivity issue. I'd adjust the sensitivity of your pads to see if that helps. If not, you may have to crack it open and give the guts a good cleaning with one of those preasurized air cleaners that come in a spray can. I'd also give all of the connection points a good spray, and make sure that they are plugged in nice and tight . Good luck
