CF question

Hi, i've been an mpc1000 user for 2 years and i know that the manual says that the mpc 1k only supports 2gb (I currently use a 2gb Lexar CF Card) cf cards.. BUT i've heard that some 4gb cf cards also work..

My problem is this: I need to buy a new CF card and this is the only CF that the store has : http://www.pcdomino.com/page/PROD/CF-4GB.html

Its a 4gb Kingston Cf Card and I was wondering if you guys could help me, i want to know if this is going to work.

Thank you, but that topic doesnt answer my question. That topic its just speaking about SOME of the CF cards that the mpc reads, not all of 'em. I just need to know if the Mpc will read 4gb cards.

If you took the time to use the search bar inside the thread posted above, you'd find that the MPC1K can handle CF cards up to 16GB so YES the topic does answer your question and YES the MPC can read 4GB cards

I'm using a 32gb card... posted about it probably 20+ times.

I'd be willing to bet that it will support up to 64gb cards and quite likely 128gb CF cards, but with the HDD it can only access 120gb, so likely this will be the same limit on the CF cards as well.

The issue isn't wether they do or don't work, but who is going to support you if there are issues. The listed 2gb limit is there because Akai doesn't want to support anything higher... so if you chose to go higher you're on your own. Try a place like Newegg or another store that has a decent return policy in case whatever you chose to get doesn't work out for you so that you are able to get a replacement and give that a try instead.
