OK Everyone... I just purchased a 256mb CF card and I transfered everything from my 32MB CF card but when I turn on the MPC it doesn't read the card. I did a quick format on it so I don't know if that makes a difference. The MPC is not recognizing the card at all. Any suggestions?

Do you mean you formatted it on the MPC *PRIOR* to loading the samples to it, or that you formatted it on your mac or pc and then loaded the samples? Makes all the difference in the world, believe me....

You've either got a bad card (unlikely since you were able to transfer all your samples to it) or one of the many that seems to be completely incompatible with the 1000. What brand are you using? I have a Memorex 256 MB card that I just copied everything over to also, and it works like a charm. Maybe it's just a card the MPC doesn't like? It seems to be rather picky about it's storage medium....

OK you all, I got it to work. It was weird because I formated the card through the computer the first time and it didn't work. The next time I tried formating in the MPC and it worked perfect. I'm not sure what the difference is but I'm up and running now. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP. See ya at the next post.

Ah, could be a FAT16 vs FAT32 thing. If in doubt, format in the MPC (camera, iPaq) etc, the PC can read all those formats but not vice versa.
