Hi All -

I'm currently using mpc2000xl and its missing a feature I wonder if anyone can tell me if the mpc1000 (with or without jjos) can do this.

Basically its to do with track mutes. The way the 2000xl works is the initial state of the track mutes are stored per sequence, which sometimes is great, but sometimes I want the track mutes to "roll over" into the next sequence. In other words whatever parts were muted or unmuted when I change sequence will remain muted or unmuted in the new sequence. Like some sort of global mute facility.

At the risk of wanting my cake and eating it - i'd also like to retain the "mutes stored per sequence" function for some of my other sequences.

Can anyone comment on how this works in any of the newer MPC range? Or indeed if there is another hardware sequencer out there that can provide this sort of functionality?

Cheers
Rob

The mpc can't do track mutes like described in your post. Don't know if any other hardware sequencer can do it.
But u could program ur sequences like that by erasing events in step edit mode. I know it's time consuming but it gets the job done.
