Heres my new setup, I just picked up a 1000 today for $400, pretty good deal and its in great shape w/ maxed RAM. I missed the features I had with my old 2500, but I didnt wanna lose the sound of my 3000, so I figured Id just try to find a cheap 1000 so I can use all the extra features.
Anyway, Im having trouble syncing the 2 together via MIDI. I have 2 midi cables going from out to in and in to out on each machine. I cant get both machines to play the same pads. I assigned the same note numbers to each corresponding pad but its still not playing the same sounds in order!?!?! If I use the default midi note number layout then the sounds dont play in order on my midi keyboard, so I assign each note in order chromatically, starting from 35 on pad A1, 36 on A2, 37 on A3, etc, etc.... Ill set the same note numbers all the way up for both machines, and the pads just arent corresponding with one another... Any help here?
NEVERMIND, I figured it out lol!!! I just needed to soft thru to off... it worked....
