Does the MPC 1000 sync to logic/cubase audio?

I'm a producer who, at present, sequences all my beats in the computer to trigger my rack mount s3000xl, but i want to get an mpc1000 for two reasons, firstly to construct beats by ear, and secondly to get the beats tighter than on the computer (especially with those rockin mpc quantize programmes (they still got those right?)

My question is, if we start sequencing the beats in the mpc, how do we sync it with all the audio in the computer and the other midi stuff (live bass lines, keyboards etc). How does it know when to start etc, can you get a pictoral display of what the mpc is playing etc

ANy explanations into these mysteries would really help

i haven't done this yet, but need to do it soon - so keep on checking this post/forum, cos i will post up once i done it...

i'm damn sure you can do it... hell, my MC-50 could do it so the 1000 has to do it! i'm sure it's just a case of setting up your midi options...
