So I want to knock up a loop in Logic and export the midi file to use to trigger an external synth.
I write the loop with the mouse in Logic, and export the midi file. I plug the mpc into my mac and import the midi file into the mpc. When I load the thing, the mpc loads it as a sequence. Well, this does me no good because I want to use the midi loop with another sequence already written.
Is there any way to load the midi file to a midi track on an already drummed-up sequence?
I don't want to load it as a sequence and sample my synth. I want the damn midi so I can tweek the synth live!!@!
If the mpc wont load the midi file to a track on an already written sequence i'll just have to slow my beats way down ( I write at about 135-140bpm) and play the damn thing and record the midi to a track. BUT it really is easier to just write complex synth lines on the computer with a mouse, rather than playing them...any ideas?
help much appreciated.

copy the tracks of the midi sequence into empty tracks in the sequence you want it in.
