.wav files from Battery 3 onto MPC 1000

Hello everyone, I just had a quick question, I haven't produced in a while and I used to use samples from battery 3 and put them on my mpc. I used to put the Battery 3 installation discs in my computer and find the sample libraries and just drag them (certain wav files) over to my mpc via usb. I did this in the past and it worked, but I tried again the other day after I bought a bigger CF card, and the files showed up on my CF card but they wouldn't play any sound when I press "play" in the load menu. Also if I hit "do it" in the load menu, it gives me a message saying "Wrong File!". I did notice that the file extensions on these battery samples i pulled over end in ".wav" instead of ".WAV" in capital letters. Some of the earlier ones I loaded from Battery months ago end in ".wav" and some in ".WAV" too, they both load fine.

There's nothing wrong with my CF card, its formatted and works fine, the MPC is works fine too.

Any insight on this or any methods I can try to get these .wav files from Battery on my mpc like I used to?

a very large percent of the drums in battery 3's library are 24bit... you have to convert them them to 16bit for the mpc to recognize them..
