Quantizing midi

Ok, I've hooked up my mpc 1000 with my korg triton rack module and am manipulating it with a midi keyboard of course. I've got everything going through, so the mpc is playing the various instruments on my triton via midi. I just can't for the life of my get it to quantize my midi??? I've reset and reset the time correct feature on the mpc but it is not quantizing whatsoever. bit stuck right here.. any advice would be much appreciated..

explain what you've tried, so people can identify what you've not done, or done wrong

are you trying to quantize in realtime as you play, or to quantize already recorded data?
what does the Note Value field say?
