Cannot play .wav files?

I've got loads of wave files on my mac lasting only a second or 2. Plugged the USB into the MPC and dragged the files into the MPC folder. No problem there. I try to load these on the MPC and it says it's a "wrong file".

These are definitely .wav files like the rest already on the MPC.

Anyone else had this?

just up there ^^^ where it says Home » Technical » MPC1000 » Cannot play .wav files? click on MPC1000 then in the Search this topic... box type "wrong + file" and you'll find several threads on the topic

the most likely reason is that the wav files are the wrong format, they need to be 16bit 44kHz:
