OK i have 1K (of course)and ive decided to make it output on all channels... so hat on mono out 1, kick mono out 2, snare mono out 3, bass mono out 4, the sample im using on main out panned left to just use a single mono channel depending on the situation... it all works great except for that when i have them all mapped where i want to go i still hear the sounds using the mono outputs in the main out mix... how do i alleviate this issue?

so you want to not hear anything from the main outputs? That is not how it works I dont believe... I could be wrong but the main outs means they are the main outs.

thanks for the reply... only want to hear the sound i have assigned to the main out through it... ok heres the thing... i have the knobs on my mixer/interface all the way down so i shouldnt be hearing anything at all... and its not even coming from the main out now that i look more closely at it... the only way i get no sound out with my faders all the way down is to go to the MPC's internal mixer and lower the volume there, but then i have no signal at all

main outs are not assignable everything always comes out those.... the main volume is for the main outs...... it is not a master volume for the whole machine or at least I would not imagine so. I personally dont have that unit but from the way other models work that is what I would suspect is happening here too.

and another thing... why is everyone's mpc1000's messing up this week? hahaha, how odd.

I understand what ur saying, the thing is that when i do turn down the main volume, the sound i have assigned to the main out goes down... just not the sounds assigned to the mono outs... so basically even when the main volume is turned down i still have snare hat kick and bass going out... just without the sample
