Assignable Outputs???

Hey guys,

I pretty much have the MPC figured out to the point where I can make beats now with no problems. Now I want to send different tracks out of the assignable outputs to my mixer but I cant figure out how to send them out of the MPC threw the assignable out puts. Its not in the manual and I searched here but found nothing. Can anyone help???

~Im not goin to bust u out but it is in the manual tho! j/k But n-e-wayz press mode then pad8-mixer then press F2-L/out. Then go up to were it says ST above the pad u tryin to assign out then u can switch ST to assign the pads to 12 or 34. Let me kno if that helped playa!

i think the biggest problem here is that dsproductions was probalbly looking in the manual for ways to send TRACKS through the outputs, and not pads. i did the same thing, searching the forums, flipping through every page of the manual and found nothing for tracks.

i finally realized there's no assigning tracks out of the mpc, but you can assign the pads instead. i was kinda dissapointed at first but i'm getting used to it.

and as far as how to set up the pads for the outs, labworks has already broken it down for you nicely.

Dude seriously, you need to spend a bunch of time on the MPC and stop asking questions before you try anything new. Discovering the features is a key part of learning the MPC< if someone tells you everything every step of the way, you are actually losing out on valuable experience and won't know what to do when you get to the next step. The MPC is a new language, you need to take the time to learn it rather than relying on an interpreter all the time.

yea man good words, i do agree. i apologies. ill stop asking so many questions. its just the the manual does have everything in it. I have no other sources that i know of... do you?

That's the thing with you man, you're so nice it's hard not to help you!!!

Best thing to do is go to the source, the MPC itself. Experiment, mess with features until you figure them out. If you hit a snag, check the manual, if that doesn't help, experiment some more, if that doesn't help, then come here.

I tend to answer more questions than I ask here because that is my MO.

Seek unto the MPC itself, for knowledge of the MPC. this is not a riddle, but the way of the MPC.

yea, I kinda agree with everyone here. On one hand we have newbies who are lost and have hard time organizing their workflow on the MP. On the other hand, people who have been using the MP for a while and don't seem to have any trouple with it, and see the same question pop-up over and over.

When I have a problem, I try to solve it myself 99.9% of the time. I experiment with my MP for hours until I find the solution to my problem, or until I acheve whatever was my goal. This is by far, the best method ever because at the same time as I try to solve my problem, I discover tons of other tricks and ideas.

Anyways, all of this to say:
TO all the noobs out there: Yes, the manual is usefull, and try to experiment with your MP. It is really not that hard. Be creative.
To the "veterans": hmm...open your hart....and let the noobs in

We are actually doing them a fovor, as you said Effekt, this forum can be a crutch that solves a current problem but doesn't give you the tools to solve the next problem.
