yes, its easy. set the program to MIDI, set the input channel. Set the # of bars. Hit record, play your keys, the MPC (MIDI PRODUCTION CENTER) will record all the MIDI data. if youre on overdub and have the track set to loop, you can play the keys on the first loop and then lay in knob tweaks on the second pass etc.. So the MPC can record all the midi data for sure. Thats what it was born to do. Im not sure if a track can be brought over to PC in a CF card and be dumped as a strictly MIDI file though, I never tried it. but you could play back the track, and using the MIDI out of your MPC to the MIDI in of your PC , record the MIDI data.

and saying this, you can skip the whole MPC step and record MIDI straight into your PC too of course.
