So i made a sequence for myself, and while i was playing it, i was messing around with the track mutes to hear how it would sound. After i was done, i replayed my sequence and it started track muting for me as if I recorded it. My question is; can you actually record the way you track mute your stuff? It is possible that I went into overdub mode without realizing it, but my question remains... how the hell did my track mute get recorded???

yes you can record the muting if you mute tracks while in record mode... these actions are called "events" in the MPC... in the TRACK MUTE screen if you look closely you'll see an option for turning events on or off... in your case it sounds like you want to turn them off.
