I lost quality when resampling my track into the mpc 1000

I'm resampling my own track from my mpc into my mpc via the spdif output and it seems that i lost a lot of quality. After resampling my track, some of the frequency are cut(the sound is less louder and clearer).

Does the cable that i used may be the reason why i'm having a lost of quality? I used a very cheap cable but if you tell me that this problem is caused by the cable i will buy a new one.

Does anyone has the same problem?

First off,

SPDIF connections are not RCA jacks. There are specific cables for SPDIF.

Second,

The MPC has a re sample feature. It does it internally, its in your manual.
