what is the best way to detect the tempo of a sample on the

I am a sample based beatmaker and am struggling with finding the tempo of the samples so i can set my sequence for my drum program to the right tempo. if any one knows any tips or advice feel free to let me know.

ok i will dive in here. first RTFM??? Then search this forum, otherwise you will be ignored because it seems that you have not done either of these things. Did you read the manual?? are you sequencing the loop aswell as sequencing your drum part?? are you using patchedphrase or not? is it a perfect loop? what mpc?

im using the mpc 1000

the mpc1000 has a detect tempo feature

download the PDF of the manual so you can search for the word "detect"
(I hardly use my paper manual, I find it much faster to use the electronic version)
