Mpc 1000 help

i recently bought a Hitachi Travelstar 7K100 HTS721010G9AT00 - Hard drive - 100 GB - internal - 2.5" - ATA-100 - 7200 rpm - buffer: 8 MB....

after installing it ..with the HDM 10 kit etc...then starting the MPC up......it just stays on the start screen showing me jjos version.......and nothing else..


help ? please

ooo sounds bad man. I suggest opening up and make sure its connected properly. I managed to put in similar hard drive myself with no problem but did notice that you had to push the drive into the HDM 10 kit hard, not too hard mind cos you could break pins and that would render either component useless. I do not use jj os yet (working on tha cash flow) so not sure about ya start screen! I mean you should be able to boot up with no harddrive, so try that, remove harddrive restart and see if its the same result. This way you will know if its the hard drive giving you problems. If you get same start up screen with just jj os version with out hard drive then reinstall jj os i guess.

I have taken the hardrive out and restarted it. And it works perfectly fine. So it's the hardrive I guess.

I will reinstall the jjos and let you know soon

hmmmm, im pretty sure it would be harddrive just not put into adapter kit properly, you shouldnt have to reinstall jjos but yeah let us know how ya go. I mean os install doesnt take long and should be last resort yeah. at least its still working and thatis the main thing hey
