distortion in high freq coming from 'record in' on my mpc 10

Tried different input sources (cd-player, pc), different cables, effects or all off, checked input source on mpc, also tried other outputs, checked rec gain ....check check double check

nothing seems to eleminate that harsh high 8 bit sound (nice effect though)

Are my analog 1/4 jack inputs broke/blown up??? or did i forget something here...?

Digital in is fine by the way

My Setup For Sampling right now:

cd-player ---> record in ---> mpc 1000 stereo out ---> blue sky mediadesk 2.1

since the digital inputs work i guess your analog inputs are broken...

try switching monitoring off, when recording..

Thanks for the advise, but I also tried that and eventually also recorded the noise in the sample.


So if it's broken, is it easy to fix it...
