I've been searching and I havent been able to find the answer, or maybe I'm just thinking about it differently.

I own an MPC 1000 and a MicroKorg, what I'm trying to do is load a single sample (for example, a bass note) onto one pad, so let's assume its a C note, so I put it on pad A1,..
What I would like to do is be able to go to the microKorg and be able to play the same note from C, D, E, F etc. the rest of the keyboard, and that specific sound change and tune with the other notes.
Without having to load the same sample, and tune in onto different pads.

Please help,
Thank You

Ive hooked them both up with Midi cables. Ive figured out how to put different samples on different pads, and they can simply be controlled by the MicroKorg..
What I'm tryna to essentially do, is the same thing as the 16 levels tune sht.. But with notes and such, with the microkorg

Am I doing this right?

think about it

you want to play a note on the MK and have that send a midi "note on" event to the mpc

so the midi data goes from the MK to the MPC

if it's still not clear from that, look in your manuals

Midi out M.K. midi in MPC A Midi in M.K. MPC out A (MIDI CABLES)Set MPC to Midi Track(Not drum)
Turn off Pgm and play.No need to play 16 levels or create a instrument program.ALTHOUGH IT IS NICE TO LAYER THEM.Hope this helps. Peace TYPO

here is where we tell you to RTFM!!

this could not be a more basic MIDI connection here... just run a damn cable, son.

and JJOS1 does not have the instrument feature for tuning a single sample across the entire keyboard... but JJOS2 does.
