Hey all, I searched on here and couldn't find an answer.
We're a live band but we also play pre-recorded sequences on my MPC 1000 and we perform live beats on the MPC pads. We don't use music software at all, just the MPC, a loop pedal and keyboards. We want to use a laptop and VJ software to project different videoclips during our set.
I'm either playing our pre-recorded MPC sequences or playing a beat live using only a few pads. Is there a way to hit the other unused pads to trigger my videoclips? All I really want to do is PLAY a clip, then SKIP to the next one, and the next, etc. I'm definitely not looking to do any real-time visual FX manipulation. I don't need to have any visual parameters controlled by the audio or to have my tracks and visuals tempo synched (but if there's an easy way, I'd love to hear it!).
I'm not super techie so I'm looking for a simple solution. Can this be done via MIDI?
