Some Sequences Have no Sound - Newbie Here

Hi all,
total newbie problem.
I bought a used MPC 1000 from eBay. It has a 128MB card in it.
I downloaded the factory settings from akaipro and put them on my CF.
I updated the O/S. (not the JJ one)
I go to the Quick Start guide and follow the instructions on "Playing back a demo song" with the "Sq: 01_DJ_Hip_Hop"
Fine. Hit Play. Sounds good.
Then, I load a different Sequence, change the Program to another of the Factory Presets and...
Nothing.
no sound.
The only sounds I can get when playing a song are from the "01_DJ_Hip_Hop" sequence.
The other sequences have no sound when playing.
Mute is OFF.
What am I doing wrong?

Check your sound make sure they are loaded into the pads otherwise youll get the ? mark
