After 6 years with my 1000 (Bought it used old pads impressive run) pads 1 and 2 are finally starting to go. Should I buy the pad upgrade from MPC stuff or buy a 1000 used with the upgrade and spare tact switches?I do not want to loose my JJOS 2.0 So I have to decide.Any advice ?Thanks TYPO

If I were you and had the money to spare I'd get a used 1k with the pad upgrade (especially since you dont want to part with your old 1k with the JJ os); your going to get a lot more for your money if you figure how much the spare parts cost individually. Eventually it's going to get harder to find parts so if you have a spare mpc to pull parts from you'll be all set and wont have to worry about finding parts, paying for them and then waiting for shipping; you can pull parts as needed.

I have a 2500 that had a broken clear button so I contacted mpcstuff.com, I ordered a few clear buttons and I figured as long as I'm at it I'd order a couple of the white ones. I got an email from mpcstuff.com stating that the clear ones are ready to ship but the white ones have been on back order for a few months. So now I have a credit with them and they're suppose to ship them out for me as soon as they get more in; it's a good thing I had a broken clear one and not white. So if I had the extra cash I'd to get a spare mpc for parts.

What if you just get the new pads and later on some other expensive parts begin to go out too, like the screen or something? You'll wish you had a spare mpc for parts. If money isn't an issue then get it. - B.A.
