Audio Recording into the Mpc1K vs. .wav files...

What is the point of recording directly into the MPC via the audio inputs when you can simply save samples to .wav format from your MAC and trigger the .wav samples on your pads..?? Am I missing something here?

For lazy people such as myself.

Nah i think its for recording lvie instruments mainly...shit you dont want to add effects to on your computer. Thats the only thing I can think of. I plan on playing my trombone using it.

also sampling from a turntable even cd, without the hassle of usb hookups and whatnot.

sometimes i purposely sample right to the mpc because of the way it sounds. bass guitar, for instance, sounds really really good plugged right into the mpc's input.

those *.snd files are really small... I think that'd be the only diff.

It saves you an extra step - plus the computer tends to be a little heavier and clunkier than your MPC if say, you want to sample your TV which happens to be upstairs or down in the basement, or you take it to your friends house and he doesn't have a USB Flash Drive or you don't have the proper means to save wave files on your computer or...the list goes on and on - it's a sampler and from the beginning of time samplers have always had a means to record in -

if the mpc1000 didnt have the option to sample direct into the inputs then it would not be an mpc. I doubt anyone would buy it. I know i would NOT have gotten it if i couldnt sample directly into it. To cut out that feature on anything with MPC written on it would be the worst marketing i have ever seen. just my opinion
