Hey everyone, let me start by saying I just bought the MPC 1000 so I'm trying to find my way around it. I worked with the boss sp-505 for a long time and liked it but thought it was time for an upgrade.

My problem is this: I'm trying to record my first sample from my turntable. When I go to the record window of the MPC, I cannot adjust the "time" setting when I turn the data wheel. It always just stays at 00m00s. So I tried just pressing the F6 button and nothing happens. What is causing this??? Anyone know?

My set up is as follows if it helps
Turntable: Numark TTusb
Mixer: Numark M3
and MPC 1000 of course.

Thanks everyone and Semper Fi

When you record a sample, the MPC will always read at 00m00s, because its waiting for you to sample something. When you finally got the gall to hit record the minutes and seconds will begin to increase until you hit stop. That way it show how many seconds of sample did you recorded. Capeesh?

Marines,...... You need to get that TIME field adjusted.
With TIME set at 00m00s, the f6 RECORD button will not do anything and so no recording will take place.
There is the problem.

Are you sure you can't adjust it?
Move the cursor to the seconds field and turn the DATA wheel?

Does the DATA wheel adjust other fields ok?
