Saving a Template

Yooo this is my first post, sooo wassup to all. But i been getin real sick of renaming each track and sequence everytime i make a beat. So is there a way to save a template or something so every time i turn on my mpc the tracks and sequences are all named? Like instead of "track 1, track 2, track 3" itd be "kick, snare, hats"

yes if you search and read here on this forum, you can find a wealth of knowledge.
Two things you should consider. First, you are talking about two different functions, so lets be clear here. If you carefully consider what you are actually doing then you will be able to have a simple solution. Ask yourself what are you doing! you are naming tracks, and then wanting them saved !! so name the tracks and save them. simple.

OK, second, RTFM. what happens when you turn on MPC?? what does it load?? THat is AUTOLOAD.... set your saved named tracks as the autoload. problem solved.

Hmm, im confused then cuz my autoload folder does not "autoload". When i turn the mpc on all programs, seq.s ect. are default, then i have to load the autoload folder. Any idea what im doin wrong?

OK what you call the defaults - what the MC loads when it starts - IS THE AUTOLOAD!!!!!!!

so obviously you have not changed what it auto loads.

i turn it off personally, but that was because i did not have ram expansion, but even with it i still have it off. If you searched autoload you will find out how to save your presets to internal memory. its pretty obvious, you just save it to internal memory and turn on autoload in the load window. hit MODE when internal memory is highlighted....gives you autoload on off option.

save a dummy sequence withe the names that you use. load it each time. then rename the sequence and save it to the folder with you pgm. it saves a good amount of time if you always name the tracks the same..

you it gets kinda crazy when you think about it. save a good sequence or two as well so then you can load anything program wise, and it will give you something. All when you turn it on. do it as a project IMHO, then you save your FX and thru put settings as well and be what you want when the MPC boot up
