what software do you use to record some beats on your computer from the MPC 1000?

If you have the 128 meg RAM option and have some RAM available you can just record your beat to the Main Out which is like resampling on other samplers. Then save it to the CF card. The good thing about this is you are not going to have as much sound degration as you would by going out the D/A converter on the MPC1000 and then going through the A/D converter on your PC soundcard. Then you can just move the beat to your PC via USB.

Doesn't work too good if you want to track your beat though...especially when you are going into a true pro studio...i use ableton elive....

can I upload sounds from my PC to the MPC 1000? The manual doesn't say. I want to take some sounds from the akaipro website. Should I just burn them on a CD and sample them on the MPC?

Haa ha ha!!

USB man, it's in the manual.

well, i guess my next question would be this, I don't have a problem getting info to the PC from the MPC, if I am running ME, how do I send the info to the MPC. I right clicked and saw send to. but I saw nothing to send it to the MPC. any thoughts?

Yes, many of us share the same thought.

Read the manual before posting here.
