mpc1000 sound engine ? EXS24

Hello
I want to use my mpc1000 to control my EXS24 in logic audio. Is this a good idea or should i just stick to using the mpc for sampling. Can the sound of the EXS24 compare to the sound engine of the mpc?

sound quality depends on your soundcard... personally I love the sound of the 1k

i think the EXS is ok - but it has a lot of limitations as far as control over samples goes as can be pretty fiddly to use.
