Thick pads for mpc

Anyone out there know if the thick pads can work with the mpc 1k?

Anybody tried these pads already?
I think I'll need them.

Sorry this may sound stupid, but why do you want thicker pads?!
Mine have died so I'm going to get the upgrade set, but I don't see the point in thicker pads?!

It say's they're more sensitive but mine were always sensitive enough until they died
Why don't you just buy the kit to make your pads more sensitive rather than a whole new set of pads if thats what you're after?

Dam it, I just got normal black ones. If i would have seen these i would have got them, but i do love the way it makes my mpc look. Thinking of getting a styleflip, has anyone out there got any thing to say about them? And thanks guys for the info, i guess i need to look better.

Dude your mpc isn't just to look good on your desk. Use it to make beats, don't just make it look pretty.

the thicker the rubber used for the drumpads, the wider range of velocity it'll take to trigger softer => harder notes.
this is how these types of pressure/velocity sensors work.
if you were to use a fist sized, upside down rubber cone w/ its point on the surface of each FSR so that you struck the wider side of the rubber cone, you'd have SUCH a better control surface than the fingerpads.

same technology, more rubber = much better performance instrument.

I knew it was to make them more sensitive but I always felt mine were good enough until they started dying
