HOW TO GET MY DAW TO RECORD MY MPC 1000

I know you guys are probably thinking, Oh no, not another one of these threads. That's unfortunate, I have hope that you'll still be able to provide me with assistance. I've google'd, Browsed the forums, Searched, etc. My mind giong nuts because everyone's got a different answer. 50 people are saying one thing and 50 other people are saying another, Honestly im just at my wits with this. The reason i posted this thread is to get a clear straight answer, no maybe's, what if's or this could work possibly's.

-I bought an mpc 1000, I got pretty decent with it. It's become embedded into my blood line so to speak.

-The DAW that i use is Reason 4.

-I made a nice piano tune on reason and pretty much mastered the sound on it. As the reason loop is playing i stand at MPC and I tap on the pads and come up with a ton of (what i perceive to be) nice drum patterns.

-I'm pretty much at a dead end it seems with this.

-Is there an effective way to record my drum patterns into Reason or any other DAW so I can have the drums and my piano tune's on the same screen and coming out the same speakers.

-Do you get me?

I've been searching and i've been looking at all these audio interfaces with midi inputs and midi outputs and usb powered interfaces and SPDIF and all this other stuff.

My question is simple. What USB powered interface would you recommend to either record from my mpc to the computer (DAW) or to just sync my music from the mpc to the computer or (DAW).

I looked at the Midisport 4x4, 8x8. The M-Audio Fast Track Pro. the Fast track ultra....What exactly am i looking for in wanting to accomplish this?

Also let's say i wanted to play my mpc while my daw was recording, who would i make my DAW Record my MPC sounds on a track?

If you guys have any suggestions i'd love to hear them. I also don't mind switching the DAW but i'd like to know how to use it with reason so that in the future i'd already have that as a basis.

I really dont wanna walk into guitar center and get ripped off by them. They always seem to recommend the most expensive complicated piece of equipment then i come online and see i couldv'e had something for way cheaper and more effective.

just to check I get you ... the Mpc is playing its own sounds, i.e. the samples in the MPC?

you're not using the MPC to trigger sounds in Reason, via midi?

and what are you listening to? is the MPC hooked up to speakers? a mixer? ... the computer?!

if you want to record the SOUND of the MPC, you do not want to use midi. Midi is not audio.

an AUDIO interface to record the AUDIO from the MPC. not a midi interface

Reason is fine, if you know it there's no need to switch to something else.

Didn't that hurt when you stuck it in?

Reason 4 isn't really a fully fledged DAW, it will never record your drums from an MPC1000.

You can use your MPC to trigger drum sounds that are already in Reason and/ or load your own drum samples into Redrum or one of the sample playback instruments like NN-19 or NN-XT.

Or SAMPLE your Reason piano loop into the MPC, do it all in the one box.

Get yourself a real DAW like Logic, Cubase, Reaper (FREE!!) or Pro Tools LE, use Reason as a sound module/ scratchpad and REWIRE it to your main DAW as needed.

Don't know where you've been looking, but the information is EVERYWHERE.

Ofc Reaper isn't strictly free. They do ask that you pay a license if you use it after 30 days.
