Digital output, weak signal ...?

I've just connected a FireworX effects processor (input) to the MPC(output), and it seems that digital out of the mpc is very low, the input level display on the FireworX barely shows anything. Is there a way to raise the out level of the MPC?

enter the other screen and set the output volume to 0 db (or higher if possible)

it did help. NORMALIZE is another way to go about it, but I don't know how to adjust the amount of normalization.
