I've been working in Maschine for about a year now, and have pretty much completely mastered. I come from the newer generation of software producers, and started out in FL but wanted to work the Groovebox style.
I used an MPC1000 awhile ago at my cousin's place, and I didn't really have enough time to get the hang of it but something about the MPC is really creatively inspiring to me. It's not very similiar to Maschine in many aspects, but I like it enough as to where I want to incorporate both in my set up-at least give the 1000 a shot.
So I'm considering giving the 1000 a shot...do you have any advice going into the MPC world from a software junkie? And, how fast is the workflow? I've heard sample editing is also limited, but Maschine's is limited to...but I kind of like limitations because it makes you push your creative boundaries.
I have a HUGE sample library of Drums, One-Shots and Samples that I can import as .Wav's into the MPC.
Would I need to buy any Modules/Analog gear to work with the MPC too? I do alot of Synth based stuff too...but primarily Sample-Based stuff...
Any advice for a new MPC user?
