I am going through the Beat Making book and from time to time it asks to load certain projects. When I press load I get a caution prompt and it says "pressing DO IT will clear entire memory'. Is this ok? Doesn't seem right to me.

It is ok. Like it says, it clears the memory - makes room for new projects. Basically it's the same as rebooting your MPC, but faster and easier. Very useful feature.

Thank you. I was thinking that it would erase everything and leave me with a 550$ black box. I cant wait for the day that I can laugh at stupid noob questions.

You're doing good. Going through the book and all. I read the book one tutorial a day, 4-6 days a week - and every time before starting a new tutorial I went through the previous one. Took me 3 months, almost a year ago. Now I'm studying JJ OS XL in a similar manner, but I'm lazy... And I still feel like a noob.

Your question is not stupid , it is just... well, a different angle :)

Thanks man. Thats a great idea to run through the previous tutorial the next day first. I will have to start doing that. I am on chopping samples right now. I am doing really well with that. I found the Fundamentals to be way harder. I will probably do that one again.
